Vasona Park is open to individuals as before, however the Norouz Festival Committee has not been able to secure funding for the Norouz Festival Program celebrating Sizdeh-Bedar 2011 in the park and as such will be trying harder next year.

Purpose
The NoRouz Festival of Northern California is an organization dedicated to producing the annual NoRouz festival and celebration of the traditional Iranian new year in the Bay Area. Each year a different event is coordinated with the help of local community groups and their volunteers to put together the shows, performances, gatherings, displays, and a variety of festive activities to allow the community at large to share in this wonderful time of year.
