Thank You For 2005!

Special Thanks to the Iranian Community of Northern California for making the 2nd Annual NoRouz festival of 2005 our most successful NoRouz Festival event! On behalf of the organizing committee we would like to extend our sincere thanks to the countless volunteers, organizing committees, sponsors, partners, vendors, and above all, the community groups who helped us this year, as well as those groups who could not help out this year but wished us well.

If you enjoyed the event and feel that you or your community organization would like to be involved and help with next year's festival on Sunday, April 2, 2006, you are more than welcome to join in this wonderful experience.

We have received many kind comments, thanks, and congratulations from the public who witnessed and participated in the 2005 NoRouz Festival;

The 2005 Norouz Festival will provided the Northern California Iranian community with a range of entertainment, refreshment and information. The Program consisted of a stage production of over 20 individual acts, made up of local amateurs as well as professional talent, and many old friends of the community.

Additionally the food booths provided the expected excellent food, desserts, and refreshments, from some of the finest establishments in the Bay Area.

While Iranians and their guests enjoyed the food and music, we invited event attendees to learn about the capabilities and value of some of our local businesses and community organizations, by visiting their display booths and tables, and saying hello. Some had wonderful items for sale with special NoRouz prices.

Comments:

"I wanted to congratulate all of you on your successful program. I was there for part of Saturday and most of Sunday. I have to say, I was skeptical as how your work is going to impact the overall sizdah-bedar experience. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the events provided great entertainment while leaving enough space for people to have their own activities in the park as well. The dance programs, the music, [especially] Rushid were all great. The shuttles were a great idea. It was a great Sizdah bedar for me and my family. Thank you," -S

"I wanted to congratulate the team and everyone involved for a great job. I believe that we have laid the foundation for a remarkable annual event which will help Northern California to have its mark on the map of Iranian community. The event made a positive difference and your teamwork and hard work was the fuel to this fire. May the force be with you every year for bigger and better events." -K

" Doostan Salam: It was nice to see Vasona park with all the beautiful tents, organized music, dances & programs, business and food tents and most of all, Persian Community coming to the park to enjoy a beautiful weekend with their families and "hamvatans" and to support a community event. Khasteh nabashid doostan and hopefully you got to enjoy the result of all your hard work and efforts. Everything looked good, organized and well managed. I hope we got good feedback from the park & City staff as well." -M

"To all the members of the team: First of all I thank God for every one of you who worked hard to make such a joyful cultural event so organized. It was a blessing to all of us to see Iranians get together in such a manner that they could share their love and respect for their culture, traditions, country and one another. Your efforts and hard work were blessings of God and a gift to Iranians in this area. All of us were honored to be in this event. However, you did all the hard work as we enjoyed the event and we appreciate it very much. I pray you could host more events that gather Iranians together as a family and encourage unity, love, peace and joy for all. God bless you all." -K

" I think the best part of this great event was the pride of our heritage that was transferred to the new generation. For me this was the best Sizdeh Be Dar ever, I would like to thank all of you for such a wonderful unity especially Mr. Kamkar." -N

"Job well done! Let me congratulate you all on your success for last weekend.  It was a glamorous event that covered all aspects of our tradition and more.  Our families enjoyed the program and were happy to be part of it.  We wish all of you the best in your community work." -S

"Hamegi Khasteh Nabashin, I wanted to thank all of you for a job well done. I was very pleased with the outcome of the Festival. It took a lot of effort and hard work on everyone's [part] but it was well worth it. I hope everyone had as much fun as we did." -R

"Doostan e Aziz, Vaghan dast e Hamegi Dard Nakoneh! This was a great event. People seemed to enjoy themselves both days, and the overall experience was very good." -N

"Phenomenal job! Everything was so organized. Everyone worked really hard and I certainly appreciate everyone's effort." -M
